The free trolley runs past each one of our happy hour places, so you can get around with ease! Additionally the free trolley runs from 6am-11pm. If you’re out too late and miss the trolley here is a list of alternatives. Worst case, the island is only seven miles long, so many places are within walking distance of your accommodations.
Anna Maria Happy Hours
The Waterfront is a great option for happy hour with a view of Tampa Bay. Belly up to the cozy bar inside, or ask for a seat on the patio. The Waterfront has one of the island’s most upscale craft cocktail menus. While this restaurant is casual, you could also slip on that perfect little black cocktail dress when you visit.
The Sandbar Restaurant is a popular Anna Maria happy hour spot for cocktails at sunset. Located right on the beach, this is a beautiful place for outdoor dining. You’ll find an extensive wine menu along with fun Florida beach side themed cocktails. The Sandbar also has a sister restaurant in Bradenton Beach called The Beach House. Bridge Tender Inn is surly a locals hang out. Enjoy views of Sarasota Bay in the outdoor tiki bar, or find a spot indoors. Bridge Tender does offer a nice selection of menu items. Bridge Tender is also a family friendly destination, but does draw a more adult crowd later in the evening. Often times you’ll luck into finding live music.
Drift Inn is a friendly bar located catty-corner to the Bridge Tender Inn. Find great drink prices, and karaoke too.
Island Time Bar and Grill is located at the opposite end of Bridge Street from both Drift Inn and Bridge Tender. All together these three spots are great for a bar crawl! Island Time is a large restaurant with tons of bar seating. There is patio seating, but the entire restaurant is open air. Find great drink specials and live music.
Gulf Drive Cafe is undoubtedly home to the island’s largest Tiki bar. This is also a great place to find traditional tropical Tiki style cocktails on direct beach front. Enjoy sunset, live music and a full food menu. Gulf Drive is family friendly, but also offers an adult style night life.
