Take your kids to the newest, coolest attraction in NW Bradenton. The NEST at Robinson Preserve.
The NEST was recently completed, and is an awesome way to get the kids out of the house and in to nature. Plus, it's a blast for both the kiddos and parents!
Treetop Fun at Robinson Preserve
So what exactly is The NEST? Let me explain.
NEST stands for Nature, Exploration, Science and Technology. It is a multi-purpose area/building that offers different events and activities for all ages (like yoga or Tai Chi). Recently the Canopy Zone was added to The NEST, and this is what the kids are going to really enjoy.
The Canopy Zone (as you can see in the featured image) consists of rope bridges, climbing nets, boardwalks, and slides. All of it sits 2 story's up in the treetops, and is absolutely magical. And being here provides some beautiful views of the preserve, which they are still adding onto and expanding. Most of this area is great for all ages, though some parts are recommended for those 5 and older.
The Canopy Zone of The NEST is open 7 days a week, with the same hours as the rest of the Preserve (Sunrise to Sunset). Here is a schedule of activities taking place at The NEST.
The NEST
The NEST is located through the South entrance of Robinson Preserve (entrance located on 9th Ave NW, Bradenton).
It is about 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island. Looking to get out in nature and have fun with the kiddos, but don't have a rental car to get off the Island? Head over to Leffis Key Preserve, the Islands only nature preserve, or to Bayfront Park on the North end where the kids can play and with a lovely view of the Bay.
