We loved our summer vacation!
What a lovely summer vacation! We have stayed on the island many times, in both Holmes Beach and Anna Maria, with and without kids, dogs, and extended family. We have never been disappointed, and this was the best place we have ever stayed in. It was August, so it was HOT. The pool was perfectly located under the house so as so ensure that it was cool and shady during the day- a perfect escape from the broiling sun. Pool has great little ledges and is not too deep- great for all ages and abilities. The home was large and well laid-out. A long hallway with separate private decks for different family members to eat, read and hang out. The overhead fans keep things cool and comfortable in even 100+ degrees. Screens keep out the bugs but let the air flow. Air conditioning throughout. A loft upstairs with a bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed, plus a desk to work at (if you have to). Well-stocked kitchen. We had to leave for a couple of days to avoid Hurricane Idalia, but fortunately no damage and all was back to normal after a couple of days. The staff at Island Real Estate, especially Frank and Marissa, were friendly, available, and took every step to ensure that we were happy, comfortable and safe throughout. We had never stayed this far north on the island before, and it was a real treat: so quiet and peaceful, yet an easy walk to Pine and the Sandbar, Donut Experiment, Jeannie and Jane E's, and Two Scoops. Can't wait to come back!!
