Getting Here Anna Maria Island

Travel along State Route 64 or State Route 684 to the West across either drawbridge or North on State Route 789 from Longboat Key.  State Route 789, 684 and 64 are known as Gulf Drive, Cortez  Road and Manatee Avenue, respectively.

By Airplane

Tampa International Airport and St. Pete/Clearwater Airport are about 1.5 hours drive to the island.  Sarasota Airport is the closest at 35 minutes and Orlando Airport can be a good choice for twin centering between Anna Maria Island and Orlando. Information on Cell phone waiting lot.

By Boat

While unconventional a private boat is an option.  You could temporarily dock off the beach or at Galatti's in Anna Maria City.  

By Bicycle

Bike along State Route 64 or State Route 684 to the West.  A much nicer route would be along Longboat Key on State Route 789 otherwise known as Gulf Drive.   

By Bus and Trolley

The Anna Maria Island Free trolley has shuttle stops that connect to rapid transit on the mainland in Bradenton and Sarasota and beyond.  

By Train

The most popular train for domestic travel is via the auto Train from Washington D.C to Orlando.  Hop on the train and load your automobile for an overnight trip on the train.
