The Pine Avenue General store is a wonderful small convenience store located in Anna Maria City right on Pine Avenue. The store does not have auto fuel but serves normal convenience store goods. Magazines, soda’s, medicine, milk, basic products to get you through the day or the evening. The Pine avenue store also will make sandwiches to order and they offer limited lunch meats.

They also have chicken salad, cold salads, and heated sandwiches. The Cuban pressed sandwiches are fantastic. The General Store actually has a full menu online that you can check out to see what all the options are.
One favorite for my family is to stop by the Pine Avenue store on our way up to the Bay Front park or one of the Anna Maria City piers and pick up a quick lunch for $20 and sit and eat and take in the natural wonders of the Tampa Bay.
For teenage aged children I would suggest going to the Rod and Reel pier or the public pier and have lunch just sitting on the edge of the pier or on the benches provided on the Rod and Reel pier. If you have pre-teenage children then a good bet is to visit the playground at the Bay Front Park just a quick two blocks North once you reach the end of Pine Avenue. Some of my fondest memories often revolve around the simplest of activities. A quick relaxing picnic lunch is just what you were looking for. Remember RELAX, your on vacation!
