Of course we knew doing Spring Break Anna Maria Island was going to be crowded, but it is certainly worth the visit!
I don’t have much of a tolerance for any type of tourists in my way. Especially when visiting home during one of the busiest weeks of the year for Anna Maria Island. As we drove over the Florida border there was a small chance that maybe we had brought the weather with us. Luckily, we were able to leave all our worries behind as we kept heading south!
You can do everything you want with little hassle. We even managed not to have one run in with any unruly crowds.
Needless to say, it was ideal. Sunny with highs of 78 and no rain…… unbelievably nice. Water was still a bit chilly, but clear as glass. The beach and sun were abound.
We crammed it all in……in 10 days.
Things to do during Spring Break on Anna Maria Island
Beach, beach and more beach for the the first few days. Then when the kids wanted something new we went on a boat trip to Egmont Key. We went to Star Fish Co for grouper sandwiches and visited Jungle Gardens down in Sarasota. St. Armands Circle is always great for some window shopping. The South Florida Museum is great to see “Snooty” the resident manatee!
