About Coquina Beach

Located at the southern end of the island in the town of Bradenton Beach, Coquina Beach is named after the tiny shells that can be found on this part of the island. Unlike Bean Point, Coquina Beach has a bit more going on and even offers convenient amenities including parking, restrooms, changing stations, picnic tables, and so much more. Parking is available along 6th Street South, or at the main entrance to Coquina Beach.

One of the biggest draws of Coquina Beach is the ample amenities and things to do. On Wednesdays and Fridays, there is a pop-up farmer’s market featuring local goods and fresh food, and each year the market grows in size. The boardwalk and biking paths allow you to really get out and explore, and the beach itself is great for taking a stroll or shelling.

Coquina Beach is one of the top choices for families visiting Anna Maria Island because of the ample parking and convenient amenities. Those traveling with little ones will be happy to find restrooms and changing stations, as well as lifeguards watching the beach. There are also several restaurants nearby, making it easy for you to leave the beach and grab a bite to eat.
