Publix has affordable, high-quality goods and the friendliest staff you’ll ever find in a super market. While the Anna Maria Island store might be smaller than most, they still have a great selection.

When you visit Publix for the first time you’ll typically find yourself impressed with this chain. Their produce is outstanding, they have a large wine selection and the prepared foods are quick and delicious. Deli items are ordered ahead of time or get in line for a custom sandwich, wrap or flat bread. Fried and whole roasted chickens are made ready for lunch and dinner. You can even get some decent in-store made sushi!
While shopping with kids be sure to stop by the bakery and ask for a fresh made cookie.

There is a larger Publix Super Market on Manatee Avenue in Bradenton if you don’t find everything you’re looking for at the island store. However, you’ll likely find all the things and more that chain markets offer.
