Robinson Preserve

About 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island is an amazing, 682 acre preserve made of coastal wetland, tidal marsh, and mangroves.

Robinson Preserve is continuously expanding, and recently opened The NEST and Canopy Zone (perfect for kids).

Go Out Into Nature & Explore

Robinsons Preserve is open everyday of the year, from sunrise to sunset. It is MASSIVE, and even has 2 entrances to the preserve. There is the original entrance to the preserve (17th Ave NW North Entrance), and then the a newer entrance where they expanded the preserve to include The NEST (9th Ave NW South Entrance).

There is a lot to do at Robinsons, including;

  • Hiking the nature trails (Robinson is dog-friendly, so don't forget your four-legged friend)
  • Bike trails
  • Rollerblading
  • Fishing
  • Kayaking/Canoeing
  • Observation Tower (40-feet tall)
  • Group Camping
  • Picnic/Pavilion areas
  • The NEST/Canopy Zone (crawl and climb among the trees)

Robinson Preserve is a really great place to get out and get some exercise in nature. If you are not from the area/Florida, I highly suggest checking it out the next time you are here. Don't forget to bring the kids and dogs with you! By the way, if you love hiking then a great vacation rental to stay a walk away from countless nature walks is One Particular Harbor. One Particular Harbor is a luxurious multi building condominium with pool, club house, and with a restaurant a walk away. Leave your car at home!
