Mixon Fruit Farms is a great place with a lot to offer. What originally began in 1939 as  just growing and shipping citrus fruit, has developed into so much more. Now, there is a store to buy their products (including jams, fudge, juice, etc), a cafe with a great menu, a beautiful pavilion for weddings/private events, a kids Play Place, nature trails, and even a wildlife refuge & education center. They also have hundreds of Koi fish you can feed and is home to Florida's largest Koi pond with waterfall. What doesn't this place have to offer?!

Mixon Fruit Farms is located off 26th Ave E, in Bradenton. It is about a 30 minute car ride form Anna Maria Island. For more inland activities check out; Myakka State Park, Bishop Museum, and Sarasota's Jungle Gardens.
